DAYWISE ITINERARY

Day 01 :: BHUBANESWAR AIRPORT ARRIVAL MORNING

Meet & greet on arrival at Bhubaneswar airport and then drive to your pre-booked hotel. After fresh up sightseeing of Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain caves with Nandankanan zoological park (Zoo closed on Monday). Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 2 :: BHUBANESWAR – BHITARKANIKA NATIONAL PARK

Post breakfast leave for Bhitarkanika National Park on the way visiting Ratnagiri, Udayagiri & Lalitgiri Buddhist Monastery & Stupas. This place is called as Diamond Triangle of Odisha. This place has been excavated and belong to 9th Century AD. Evening reach at the resort / hotel and stay overnight at Bhitarkanika.

Day 3 : BHITARKANIKA – BARKUL @ CHILIKA LAKE

Morning after breakfast leave for Bhitarkanika sightseeing including different creeks to spot Salt Water Crocodiles, Birds Sanctuary Bagagahan, soft walking inside the jungle to spot the deer and water monitor lizards. Also visit Dangamal Project area with Interpretation Centre. Return back to the resort and have lunch. Then leave for Barkul @ Chilika Lake. Stay overnight.

Day 4 : BARKUL @ CHILIKA LAKE – GOPALPUR

Morning after breakfast go for boating inside the lake to view Kalijai Island and Kalijai Temple. Post visit, back to the Hotel and leave for Gopalpur visiting Tara Tarini Mata temple (One of the Shakti Pithas) & Tampara Lake. Do some water sports / adventure activities inside the lake on direct payment basis and evening reach at Gopalpur. Evening enjoy the Gopalpur beach & the local market. Overnight stay at Gopalpur.

Day 5: GOPALPUR – TAPTAPANI – CHANDRAGIRI – GOPALPUR

Morning post breakfast leave from Gopalpur to visit the following places
1. Tapatapani Hot Sulphur Water
2. Chandragiri Tibetan Settlement
3. Jirang Buddhist Monastery (The largest monastery in Asia)
4. Deer park near Taptapani
Return back to Gopalpur and stay overnight.

Day 6: GOPALPUR – SATKOSIA @ BADMUL

Post breakfast leave for Satkosia George which is located at Badmul. Before that you can visit Mangalajodi @ Chilika Lake which is famous for migratory birds and you can see them by hiring a hand rowing boat. Then continue your journey to Satkosia and stay overnight.

Day 7 :SATKOSIA – PURI

Morning relax on the river bed and if situation permits, then do boating on River Mahanadi. Then leave for Puri visiting Sakhigopal temple, Raghurajpur Artisan village. Check into the hotel in Puri and afternoon enjoy the Flag Changing Ceremony at Lord Jagannath temple and do evening or late evening Darshana of Lord Jagannath. Return back to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 8 : PURI – KONARK – PURI

Early morning once again visit of Lord Jagannath temple with morning Darshana. After this visit of Puri city including Grand Road, Gundicha temple, Narendra Tank, Sonar Gouranga Temple and Bedi Hanuman temple.
Post lunch leave for Konark on the way visiting Ramchand Temple, Chandrabhaga beach, Konark Sun Temple & Konark Interpretation Centre with Light & Sound show (starts at 6.30 PM & remains closed on every Monday). Return back to Puri and stay overnight.

Day 9 : PURI – BHUBANESWAR AIRPORT DROP

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and continue your drive to Bhubaneswar on the way visiting Pipli appliqué making village, Dhauli Peace Pagoda, 64 Yogini temple at Hirapur and temple of Bhubaneswar like Parashurameswar, Mukteswar, Lingaraj & Rajarani temples. On time you will be dropped at the airport or railway station of Bhubaneswar and leave the city with sweet memories.
